In an earlier blog (www.dsprel.com/5-free-photo-editors/) I listed five free photo editors that were alternatives for those of us who want effective photo design tools without the price and overkill of professional programs. Here are four more.
Canva is an easy-to-use online graphic design platform that allows you to create professional looking blogs, ads, brochures, eBooks, presentations and more with drag-and-drop ease. The site includes millions of images, photo filters, free icons and shapes, and hundreds of fonts as well as numerous professionally designed layouts. The tools are free. Premium images are also available for a small fee.
The free program bills itself as the world’s most advanced online image editor, enabling you to create dazzling photo effects in your browser that previously were only available with expensive software. It includes effects, fonts, shapes, doodling, distortions, retouch, layers and advanced features. You can also cut people out of a background and combine them with parts of another photo.
There’s both a free and a professional version. The free version allows you to make basic edit adjustments (crop, resize, adjust color), create basic effects using filters, touch up photos, create classic contents (stickers, collages, design templates) and basic HDR tech to bring out the true colors in photos. There are ads in the free version. The professional version, as you’d expect, provides more advanced features for $39.99 per year.
PhotoPlus Starter Edition
Looking for a simple way to enhance your images? This free software package includes easy-to-use editing features that allow you to perform basic photo touchups like removing red eye and blemishes, straightening and cropping pictures, adjusting brightness and colors. You can easily restore old photos or transform your photos into works of art. It’s one of a suite of free software available from www.serif.com.
What free photo editors would you add to this list?
